Japan, the eleventh-most populous country in the world is an island country in East Asia, located in the northwest Pacific Ocean.

Tokyo

is the largest urban economy in the world by gross domestic product. It is the political and economic center of the country, as well as the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the national government. Tokyo offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, entertainment, culture and dining to its visitors. The city's history can be appreciated in districts such as Asakusa and in many excellent museums, historic temples and gardens. Contrary to common perception, Tokyo also offers a number of attractive green spaces in the city center and within relatively short train rides at its outskirts.

Nara

was the capital of Japan during the Nara period from 710 to 794 as the seat of the Emperor before the capital was moved to Kyoto. Nara is located less than one hour from Kyoto and Osaka. Due to its past as the first permanent capital, the city remains full of historic treasures. Nara is home to eight temples, shrines, and ruins. In 2015, there were more than 1,200 sika deer in Nara. Snack vendors sell sika senbei (deer crackers) to visitors so they can feed the deer.

Mount Fuji

is one of Japan's "Three Holy Mountains", located on the island of Honshū, standing 3,776.24 m (12,389.2 ft). Mount Fuji is an international destination for tourism and mountain climbing. Another easy way to view Mount Fuji is from the train on a trip between Tokyo and Osaka. If you take the shinkansen from Tokyo in direction of Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka, the best view of the mountain can be enjoyed from around Shin-Fuji Station on the right hand side of the train, about 40-45 minutes into the journey.
